Ruby Bridges is an amazing, brave, incredible black woman who made history in this country by becoming the first black child to attend an all-white elementary school. She was not met with kindness from all she met, but she faced hatred and bigotry with grace and strength. Her story, told in her own words, is one that we can all learn from.
